Nationality
The candidate must be an Indian citizen or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who has permanently settled in India before January 1, 1962, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently residing in India.

RBI Grade B Educational Qualifications
The educational requirements to join the RBI as a Grade B officer as per the vacancies in RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023 are listed below.
(a) Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)-(General): Minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree, as well as 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th Standard examinations. The minimum qualifying percentage or equivalent grade for the Bachelor’s degree will be calculated in aggregate across all semesters/years.
(b) Officers of Grade ‘B’ (DR) -DEPR: A Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute; OR PGDM/ MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University.
(c) Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)-DSIM: A Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade (aggregate of all semesters/years) OR A Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks

RBI Grade B 2023 Exam will be held in three stages:
- Phase I is the preliminary examination,

RBI Grade B Mains Examination Pattern
- Candidates who pass the Prelims will be eligible to take the mains exam, also known as Phase 2.
- The main exam consists of three separate papers.
- Candidates for RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR)-General must take Papers I, II, and III.
- Candidates for RBI Grade B Officers in Gr B (DR)- DEPR & DSIM must take Papers II and III.
- Papers I and III are 50% objective and 50% descriptive, whereas Paper II is only descriptive.

RBI Grade B Officer Interview
Candidates will be chosen for interviews based on their overall performance in Papers I, II, and III of the Phase II exam. The interview process will be worth 75 points.
RBI Grade B Syllabus
As you are aware, there will be three phases for the selection of RBI Grade B Officers. The first two are written exams, and the third is an interview.
The RBI Grade B phase-1 exam is an objective type exam that is administered online. It will be divided into four sections: general awareness, English language, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning.
The RBI Grade B Phase II Exam is both objective and descriptive in nature. This phase will concentrate on Economic and Social Issues, English Language, and Finance and Management.

RBI Grade B Salary Structure
Candidates selected for the post of Officers through the RBI Grade B 2023 Exam will be paid a salary of 12-14 Lac per year. The exact pay scale for an RBI Grade B Officer is Rs 55,200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850(2)-86550-3300(4)-99750. Candidates will be paid a basic salary of Rs. 55,200/- with an annual increment of Rs. 2850/- for the first nine years of service.
After these nine years, the officers will be promoted to the executive band, with the basic pay increasing to Rs. 80,850/- for the next two years, followed by an increase of Rs. 2850/- for the next four years. Thus, a candidate will end up with a base salary of Rs. 99,750/- even if he or she does not receive any promotions.
Apart from the Basic Pay, candidates are also given multiple allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, Telephone Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, and so on after they join the RBI as Officers.
RBI Grade B Admit Card 2023
Candidates who intend to take the exam must obtain their RBI Grade B Admit Card via a direct link or the official website. Candidates will be issued separate admit cards for the RBI Grade B Exam for Prelims and Mains. Candidates who successfully submit their RBI Grade B Online Application Form will be issued a Prelims Call Letter, and those who qualify for the prelims round of the RBI Grade B 2022 Exam will be issued a Mains Admit Card.
RBI Grade B 2023 Result
he Reserve Bank of India will release the RBI Grade B Result for the Prelims Exam shortly after the Prelims Exam. The marks obtained by candidates in the RBI Grade B Exam in Prelims, Main Exam, and Interview will be available on the Bank’s website only after the final result is announced. After the interview process is completed, the merit list is prepared in descending order of the marks obtained by candidates.
