MTS has openings in two age groups. Check out both age groups below:
- Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 25 to apply for SSC MTS.
- Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 27 to apply for SSC MTS.
- SSC MTS Havaldar Age Limit (as of 01/01/2023)
- Candidates applying for SSC MTS Havaldar posts in CBIC and CBN must be at least 18 years old and not older than 27 years old, i.e. born before 02/01/1996 but no later than 01/01/2005.
Candidates from reserved categories are given age relaxation in addition to the stated age requirements.

SSC MTS Educational Qualifications (as of 17/02/2023)
Candidates must have completed matriculation (10th Pass) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2023 Selection Procedure
The SSC MTS Selection Process is divided into two stages.
- SSC MTS Paper I: Written Exam PET & PST (only for havaldar)
- SSC MTS Paper II: Descriptive Test.
Paper-1 is a computer-based exam with objective multiple-choice questions.
Paper-2 is a pen and paper mode of examination that includes writing a short essay or letter in English or any language listed in the Constitution’s VIII Schedule.
- Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and will be used to assess basic language skills. Paper-II will be held only for candidates who meet the Commission’s cut-offs in
- Paper-I for various categories.
- Paper-II is only for qualifying purposes. However, if more than one candidate receives equal normalized marks in Paper-I, the marks obtained in Paper-II will be used to determine merit.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2023 Exam Pattern
- In the previous year’s exam, the paper pattern for SSC MTS changed.
- The exam consists of two papers, Paper I and Paper 2.
- Paper 1 is completed online, while Paper 2 is completed on paper.
- SSC MTS Exam Pattern For Paper I
- The SSC MTS Paper I will be divided into four sections.
- A computer-based examination will be administered in two sessions. Session I and Session II
- The SSC MTS Exam will last 90 minutes for General Candidates and 120 minutes for PwD Candidates.
- Paper I is an objective type paper with four MCQs, one of which will be correct.
For each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. - There will be no negative marking in Session 2 and no negative marking in Session 1.

SSC MTS Recruitment Syllabus 2023

SSC MTS 2023 Exam Results
The SSC MTS Result will be released following the release of the SSC MTS Answer Key. The outcome is available in PDF format. Candidates whose names appear on the list will be called for the second paper. The Commission has issued a cut-off. The candidates will have to meet the Commission’s cut-off.
SSC MTS 2023 Cut-Off
The cut-off for SSC MTS 2023 will be announced once the examination is completed and the results are released. Paper-I will have separate categories and state/UT cut-offs. The commission may establish separate cut-offs for different age groups, namely I 18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years. The cut-off will be determined by the level of difficulty of the SSC MTS 2022 Exam as well as the number of candidates who take the exam.

The SSC Multi-Tasking Staff is a non-gazetted general central service group ‘C’ non-ministerial post that falls under Pay band-1 (Rs.5200 – 20200) + Grade Pay Rs.1800. SSC MTS salary ranges from Rs.18000 to Rs.22000.
